Terms & Glossary

From industry terminology to Yoin language

The same business value, in more human terms. Explore how established industry concepts connect to the language we use in Yoin Networks.

Workspace
Industry / search termShared working area / Team Workspace / Collaboration room

A room in Yoin Networks with an owner, a clear permission boundary, and its own contacts, deals and boards. Your Personal Network is your own Workspace. When you join a Company Workspace, a Partner Workspace between two companies, or a Network Hub’s Workspace, you choose which contacts and deals come with you – everything else stays private. One person can belong to several Workspaces at the same time, and a deal can be mirrored between them (see Own Boards).

Pass the Ball
Industry / search termWarm introduction / Warm intro B2B / Referral

A structured handover in which someone with an established relationship introduces a colleague or partner to a decision-maker, together with relevant business context.

Link Arms
Industry / search termCo-selling / Partner sales / Joint selling

When two or more companies collaborate in a shared deal room around the same customer opportunity, with shared contacts, clear roles and an agreed next step.

Own Boards
Industry / search termShare pipeline with a partner / Shared deal

Two companies share the deal room with context and next steps without exposing amounts or margins. Each party chooses whether to put the deal on their own board or simply follow it in a shared-deals list. An invited partner does not need to run a pipeline board. Internal discussion threads stay separate from the shared partner discussion.

The Three-Party Deal & the Door Opener
Industry / search termBusiness brokering / Referral network

The collaboration model between the Door Opener (who contributes trust and access), the Provider (who drives and delivers the deal) and the Customer. Simple status updates keep the Door Opener informed and make their relationship contribution visible.

The Customer Contact Puzzle
Industry / search termAccount mapping / Relationship mapping / Who knows whom

An overview of who in your team and among selected partners already knows key people at a target company, without exposing private address books.

Shared Relationship Memory
Industry / search termAI assistant CRM / CRM with Claude/Copilot

A shared, permission-controlled context layer for customer relationships and deals that AI assistants, such as Claude via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), can read and update in real time.

Pre-CRM
Industry / search termBusiness development CRM / Early partnerships / Consortium

Fast-moving, relationship-oriented work on early partnerships, advisory engagements and complex deals before an opportunity is formal enough to hand over to the group’s regular CRM (such as Salesforce or HubSpot).

Network Hub & Ecosystem Flywheel
Industry / search termBusiness network platform / Cluster tool / Company assessment tool

A connected ecosystem where clusters, incubators and business networks turn living company assessments, advisory panels and peer groups into concrete matches and measurable business between member companies.

The Company Journey
Industry / search termCompany development / Company timeline / Portfolio journey

The continuous timeline bringing baseline assessments, advisory panels, decisions, documents and warm introductions together around a member or portfolio company over time.

Method Catalogue & Living Assessment
Industry / search termDigital company assessment / Assessment templates / Method catalogue

The network’s own digital questionnaires and assessment templates that turn a company’s bottlenecks directly into concrete focus goals and matching needs instead of static PDF reports.

Competence & Relationship Graph
Industry / search termSkills matching / Relationship graph / Expert network

The searchable map of advisors, mentors, member companies and contact paths that matches a company’s needs to the right expertise and shortest warm introduction.
